It has been a whole year since I have posted! I hate for it to get this long between posts. So much has happened. Bo and I got divorced in January of last year. It started a really big emotional year for us. At the end of January, he comitted himself back into the mental hospital because his depression had taken a turn for the worse and he was at an all time low. We started mending our relationship in February. It was an awesome transformation. We had our ups and downs between January and August. In August, I found that the girls and I needed to move out to a rental home for a little while. We packed our bags and moved out. This also helped to improve the relationship that Bo and I were working on. He began courting me. He would come visit and stay with the kids at night. Our relationship began to flower. It was amazing.
In October, we got married again. It was the best decision I have made ever! I kid you not. The difference between what this man used to be and what he is about now is like night and day. Through many prayers and medication and counseling, he has pulled through a tough season of depression. I am so proud of him for that. We began talking about what we were to do with the house that we own. Would we just fix it up and sell it and live in the rental home? Would we fix it up and move back home? What would we do? We decided that we were going to fix it up and move back home. Financially, it was the best decision to do. So began a few renovations. We had gross 70s style linoleum on the floor and decided it was in our best interest to pull it up and refinish the beautiful wood flooring underneath. That took a few months to do. In December, we moved back home. It was such an exciting week. I was so happy to be home and in my perfect bed with my awesome husband.
I was worried about what Christmas season would bring to our family because we have dealt with his depression the most over this holiday. However, this year was different. He was excited about Christmas. He helped put the Christmas tree up with the kids. It was so amazing to watch. He has not been back to the mental hospital.
The kids are doing well also. Bubs is researching colleges that specialize in video game creation. Tatty is heading to college in the fall to become a youth pastor. Grace is a freshman this year. She is really going places too. I am so proud of all of our family.
We have also added two more family members to the house. In September, we rescued a kitten from the highway. He was right in the middle of the road. He was about 4-5 weeks old when we rescued him. About a month later, we brought home his brother. They are amazingly funny kittens and very rambunctous. They are 6 months old now and bigger then our cat who is 13. They are sweet ,fun loving, happy kittens.
Have a fabulous day!
